High-frequency viscoelastic evaluation device
New viscoelastic measurements using ultrasound can be performed. The viscoelasticity of liquids, solids, bulk, and surfaces can be measured. It is particularly effective for analyzing surface degradation and skin layers!
Until now, viscoelastic measurements were generally limited to around 100 Hz, but higher frequencies were desired for actual products. The HFR002 can measure complex viscoelasticity using ultrasonic propagation. All strains propagate at the speed of sound, resulting in overall deformation. Those with significant attenuation are referred to as viscoelastic materials. The storage modulus can be measured at the speed of sound. The loss modulus can be measured from the attenuation. Our proprietary surface method allows for the analysis of surface degradation and the effects of the skin layer, which were previously impossible to assess.
